Our Guide to Garages

Our Guide to Garages

Our range of metal and timber garages offer a stylish way to protect your car - or other valuable belongings such as bikes - from the elements. The warm, moisture-free environment makes sure that your expensive possessions stay safe, and the robust security keeps them secure from local miscreants.

Choosing the perfect garage for your property

Metal Garages

Once you've decided where on your property you are going to place your garage, it's time to pick the perfect model for your property. Our range includes fully metal garages like the Olympian, available in a variety of colours and finishes; as well as timber options like the stylish Bradenham, and concrete constructions including the Prestige.

If you are planning on using your garage purely for storage, then a standard metal or concrete construction will likely suit your needs. If, however, you plan on using it as a workshop, gym, or other living space, then considering the form and style - as well as adding double glazing and insulation - will be essential.

Construction and MaintenanceConstruction and Maintenance

Garages are a little large to deliver through the letterbox, so all of our stylish outdoor buildings come as ready-to-assemble kits, including all the necessary fixings and materials.

The majority of our range includes free assembly by one of our team of specially selected experts, a service which we otherwise offer as an add-on.

Our timber garages come untreated as standard, allowing you to apply your own choice of stain and finish. Or, you can opt for a selection of colour that we will use in the factory before delivery. You will need to repaint the outside of your garage every couple of years to ensure that it remains in excellent condition, and lasts the full 15+ years of its expected life.

Metal garages are powder coated in the specified colour, and should last for upwards of 25 years without anything more than routine cleaning and maintenance.

Planning PermissionPlanning Permission

Outbuildings such as garages are usually considered to be 'Permitted Development' and so generally do not require planning permission. This status, however, is subject to restrictions on size, height, and where you choose to site the garage on your property so if you are at all unsure, it is well worth seeking expert advice.
